Envu, a global environmental science company, needed a mass email template kit, so I created it. This included creating hundreds of modules that could be interchanged throughout each business segment yet be perceived as streamlined and cohesive. Created using Sketch.

Centene has a big need for organic social content that is informative to clients and points them in the right direction to take care of their health and wellness through clinics or on their own. The trick is, the target audience is very diverse and each location in the United States needs to be connected with in a different way. These social posts show examples of how we could use free source photography and simple animations to help the public with their health.
Centene is a publicly traded managed care company based in St. Louis Missouri, which is an intermediary for government-sponsored and privately insured healthcare programs.
Amazon’s Audible came to HLK asking for a solution to their problem: trying to get customers interested in their original non-exclusive content that, although not new to the market, was still high quality. We created a campaign that got viewers to get excited about this content through an interactive theme design.

The Vecino Group in Springfield, Missouri had recently reinvented its mission when I joined the team as their creative intern. With the trust and creative liberties of the Creative Director and CEO, I translated their five core mission statement pieces, embodying the company culture, into five large-scale multi-media art pieces.

One of the most intense and multi-faceted projects I have ever completed was this map. Mr. Drake approached me with a challenge that three other designers before him had refused to accept. To celebrate his father’s 90th birthday, he wanted to take thousands of records of his father’s flight paths, with which he had flown over his lifetime, and plot them on a specialized map. After several meetings, brainstorming sessions, and late nights, I plotted his father’s flight paths successfully, put them in a color code based on the frequency of travel, and gave the map a vintage feel to fit the theme. I was then commissioned to print and frame this 2’ x 3’ map.
HLK has a Pride-themed t-shirt contest each year to celebrate the month of June. I paired up with my incredible copywriting coworker to create this Keith Haring tribute tee. It was voted first place and printed for all 300 employees.
Being on the Board of AIGA KC has been a highlight of my career. While serving as the education associate, I also volunteer on the communications team to create content for events and/or holidays. This project was an engagement post to celebrate shopping and supporting local stores.
During my time as a Director of Education of the AIGA KC Board, I was in charge of branding and running our 2022 Portfolio review. This is what we came up with for the overall art direction, it was inspired by many recognizable landmarks in the area, such as the Scout statue, and also how we are ‘scouting’ for new talent.
Nothing says “Missouri” like BBQ Competitions and overly masculine depictions of humanized pigs. While rebranding this annual event, I was told to make the most masculine pig possible. Personally, I feel like I delivered. This illustration is the main design used to promote Lakewood’s community annual BBQ competition from 2021 and on.
At Lakewood Country Club, I was appointed head of the first annual Jay Copeland Memorial Golf Tournament which honored Lakewood Oaks Country Club’s late general manager, Jay Copeland. Because this man played a major part in Lee’s Summit, Missouri’s growth, this event meant a lot to the community. With only three months to plan, I led the brainstorming, branding, marketing strategy, and communications of the event til the very last hour. We surpassed our goal and raised $25,000 and had an extraordinary turnout.
For my final design project at Missouri State University, I dreamed up a fake restaurant, complete with a full brand package and mock menu. Press the link to view the wordmark logo, icon, brand standards, collateral pieces, and interactive company summary booklet.
Coast is a high-end Kansas City barbecue and cocktail restaurant in El Segundo, California. They’re all about serving amazing food and chill vibes. Coast provides the perfect blend of a. high-end yet relaxed dining experience.
Kirkland & Ellis is one of the largest law firms in the world. In early 2020, I reached the final interview stages to be on the in-house design team. Before my third interview, I redesigned their 2020 recruitment packet for the upcoming year to be as extraordinary and profound as their company’s mission and history. Although I was not hired, my designs inspired the actual 2021 packet redesign, upon further research.
Looking to continue challenging myself and being immersed in an intensely opinionated political climate, Wham! was formed. Wham! is a comic series that my former colleague, Maria Gnoza, and I created. With my illustrations and Maria’s copywriting, this politically - nonpolitical series was born out of our desire to create interpretive work with other creatives in the wake of covid-19.
The Argyle is a fine dining restaurant exclusive to the members of the Lakewood Property Owners Association and/or Lakewood Oaks Country Club. They underwent a massive rebranding project that I spearheaded along with the General Manager. The old menu was confusing and left the restaurant looking rundown. We hope the new menu brings an air of class and provides organization the club will appreciate.
